While you're busy humming David Bowie tunes today, up and coming artists can learn something from the icon that has nothing to do with hitting notes ... according to Gene Simmons.

The KISS rocker was in Hollywood Monday and told us about the first time he met Bowie in a recording studio, back in 1975. He says one thing in particular stood out to him -- that he'll never forget -- about the Thin White Duke.
