Leeds Lights Switch On 2016 Brought To You By Leeds City Council

Every year, Leeds starts the Christmas countdown with the spectacular Leeds Lights Switch On.

Thursday 10 November at 6:45pm!

The city’s Rio heroes are ready to light up Leeds at this year’s spectacular Christmas lights switch-on event. Leeds-born triathletes Ali and Jonny Brownlee and Paralympian Kadeena Cox will be the special guests of honour at next week’s festive showpiece when they will take to the stage and get the festive season officially underway.

British girl band Stooshe, who had a top 10 hit with their single Black Heart as well as a UK top 10 album, will be performing on the main stage. Also performing one of his own songs on the night will be local lad and X Factor contestant James Wilson, who made it through to judge’s houses on this year’s show. Plus much much more!

Join Heart Breakfast’s Dixie and Emma on stage in Victoria Gardens from 6.45 with fun for all the family featuring a vibrant mix of live music performers, special guest celebrities, local sporting heroes, and pantomime characters.

The evening's entertainment culminates with the big switch-on of one of the UK's largest city centre festive illumination displays and a spectacular firework display illuminating the skies all across the city.
